Essay on excursion from school

Excursions are necessary, especially for students. They have a great educational value. That is why schools often organize excursions for the students. Apart from educating students and exposing them to various experiences, it is a great means of recreation.

My class was taken on an excursion last month. A bus was arranged. We sat in it and it took us to all the places we had to see. We were all very happy. We sang on our way and the bus speeded along Prithvi Highway at the side of River Trishuli. The sound of the horn was a constant irritant but we could tolerate it because we were too busy having a good singing session in the bus. We were going to Pokhara from Kathmandu.

The bus stopped on the way at a restaurant. We all got off the bus to have some refreshments. Our teachers took a good care of us. After half an hour we were on our way again. Many of my friends started feeling a little sleepy and tired.

Soon we reached Pokhara at 4 PM. We formed a line and entered the guest house where our stay had been arranged. We were to see many beautiful places like Lake Fewa, Lake Begnas, Davis Falls, watch sunrise from Sarankot and so on.

Next morning we were first taken to Fewa Lake. When I first set my eyes on the lake, I was speechless. How wide it was! I thought it must be so deep. We enjoyed boating in the lake too. Then we went to Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave and some other Places around there. The places were really

splendid. We had no appetite because we wanted to be overjoyed with the beauty of the city all the time. But we were taken to our hotel to have lunch. In the evening we were taken to the museum.

Next morning we went to Sarangkot. It was on the top of the hill. It was so high that we could see Mt. Annapurna very close to us. I can never forget the sight of sunrise observed from there. Then we climbed down the hill and went to Bindhyabasini. We all prayed there and had lunch.

It had been the time to wave our hand to the beautiful city. We drove back home but the return journey was filled with a bit of sadness. It was the end of great two days in my school life.
